The actress is well-known for her role as Kate Capshaw, an American actress who has retired. She is most famous for her role as Willie Scott, an American nightclub performer and singer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), produced by her future husband Steven Spielberg. She was in Dreamscape (1984), Power (86), SpaceCamp (1986) and The Black Rain(89), Love Affair, Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1895) and The Love Letter (1999), she has continued to be a star. Capshaw her portraits have been featured in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw, was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth Texas. She is the daughter of Beverley Sue Simon (nee Simon), who was a beauty professional and travel agent, as well as Edwin Leon Nail, an employee of the airline. She moved to St. Louis, Missouri at the age five and was a graduate of Hazelwood Senior High School in 1972. Capshaw earned a degree from the University of Missouri in education. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught Special Education at Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri, and Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri.
