Lisa Edelstein, an American actor best well-known for House which is a Fox medical drama series. Raised in Wayne within a conservative Jewish traditions, she moved into New York City at the age of 18 to pursue studies in theater at Tisch school of arts. She became very involved with the club scene in New York City, and did enough to be recognized from the news media. In the meantime she began to become conscious of AIDS its devastating consequences. Then, she used her experience and fame as well as her own education to write and present a program called Positive Me. She landed her first job on MTV as the presenter of Awake on The Wild Side shortly after. When the show ended it was time to do film and television productions. The first time she worked, she was able to get small parts and established herself slowly as an actor.
