Taylor
Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop stars one who was able to seamlessly transition from the country music scene to making her an iconic celebrity and then conquering the globe in the process. Swift has shed her country roots like they were second skins, showing herself to be the smartest pop singer/songwriter within her generation. She is able to take the zeitgeist of today and make it her personal. Swift's talents are evident in some of her first tracks, including the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift was able to discover the person she was and reach a wide audience. Fearless became a massive success not just in America with six singles were certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and You Belong with Me. But it also performed well around all over the world. Swift managed to build upon her success by releasing Speak Now almost two year after. The next three years, her popularity was growing through the years -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014), and 1989 (2014-2015) in 2014-2015 as she moved into a arena of pop with her skills already well established. Even though she had slowed her work with folklore and Evermore releases in 2020 she was at the forefront of pop music.
