Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996, in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish she is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father was an Argentine and has Scottish as well as English ancestry. She is Spanish with English roots. Taylor Joy also has 4 siblings, one at each one of their parents' prior marriages. The family is originally of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor Joy stated that moving from Buenos aires to Victoria was a struggle and she didn't learn English in hopes of going back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend after switching from Northlands. She then went to Queen's Gate School in London, where she took ballet classes and participated in the drama department. After she turned 16years old, Taylor-Joy left the school to focus her full-time acting profession. Taylor-Joy was born to be an actress from a very young age. Her dreams were realized after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
